September is Heritage Month in South Africa. For most South Africans, National Heritage Day has been casually renamed to National Braai Day. With the spotlight on the braai master, you do not want to disappoint your friends and family. This is where Home Fires comes into the picture when you want to buy a braai in South Africa.

Spring is the perfect time of year to find that perfect braai for your home. Whether you want a freestanding or built-in unit, or maybe a mobile trolley braai that can stand next to the swimming pool, Home Fires has you covered. Today, we talk about why this time of year is ideal to make such an investment for your home.

Why Should I Buy a Braai in Spring?

• Seasonal Transition: As the colder winter months fade away into the bright and lush days of spring, you want to get in the backyard swimming pool as soon as possible. Outdoor cooking is back in season, and you need a braai that can cater to all your outdoor cooking needs. Having a Lapa or an outdoor veranda is the perfect spot for a built-in braai. If you do not have a dedicated wall cavity and chimney for a built-in unit, you can always choose a freestanding braai to suit your needs.
• The “Spring Clean” Factor: After getting rid of all the dust that accumulated over the winter months, you might find that your current braai has suffered from structural wear. Heavy rust can accumulate and braai grids can be damaged after leaving your outdoor braai out in the cold. This can be yet another feasible reason to upgrade to a built-in unit that can close its doors when not in use.
• Preparing for the Summer: As spring marks the final quarter of the year, summer is rapidly approaching. If you need an upgrade or a new braai, now is the time to buy a braai in South Africa that will cater to all your needs for the upcoming summer. By making such an investment now, you can get everything ready and set up for the festive season. Then, when friends and family come to visit, you will be ready to prepare a feast on your braai.
